Simple sentence

today, after service ended....i was thinking about the cellgroup...
then God gave me a simple sentence and i suddenly go Wow!!
the sentence goes like this...
"it's not what others can do for you but what you can do for others"

Then i went in to deeper thinking
sorta like this guy here

But anyway....i thought alot....

i thought that yeah it also could be apply into alot of things
cellgroup, spiritual and personal life, etc.

For example
in Booking seats....
instead of wondering who will book the seats and where do cellgroup seat
and go to the seats, book the seats for the cellgroup instead....

in cellgroup fellowship....
instead of sitting there and wait for the food, offer you help and help serve
things would be faster this way so that everyone would be sitting together
and enjoying the fellowship

etc,etc...the list goes a long way down man....

in spiritual life....
i remembered a pastor said that it not about whether we have Jesus but
whether Jesus have us... we always know God can and will bless us but
sometimes ppl sorta take it for granted...instead ask God what you can do
for him....which is good in a relationship...

having to do the thing may be a drag...but the reward are always way
greater than what we do for others.....

so what are you doing? being the one expecting other to do things for you
or you being the one to do things for others....

its certainly a great service guys!
and yupyup, i wanna encourage you guys
to go on e 1st of may! of course only guys are allowed!
pastor phil pringles is really good in delivering the almighty word of God to us, men.
that it is true that all men have the great potential in them!
BUT BUT BUT!
the great man within is NOT awaken!
why do we men, while facing problems and setbacks in life
whine as though we are bound to lose?
we will go " ooh pastor/cgldr/connectgrpldr.. pls pray for me ....

Wilderness...with God??

Recently....i have been feeling like i'm in the Spiritual wilderness ...

I feel as if i can't feel God anymore when i pray, God doesn't seem to be answering my prayers and i am not as excited to go to Church services, Cellgroup meetings and even to serve in the Usher ministry.....felt that even something as simple as fellowshipping with Cellgroup members can be a drag.....

Do you have this Feeling??......
Do you guys feel the same?.....
Then Welcome to the wilderness.

I recently brought a book "Victory in the Wilderness" By John Bevere.
Inside this book have a Chapter that i would particularly like to share...

John bevere wrote that in our spiritual life, we will eventually come to a point where god doesn't seem to even answer our prayer and we can't even feel God's presence even in church....and some will begin to think why it is like that...And even begin to back away from God...(umm...sound like myself once...)
But the truth is this period is the period where God is preparing you for much greater things.

Remember in the Torah (first five books of the Bible), God lead the children of Israel into the Wilderness for FOURTY YEARS and they complained that the water is Bitter and there are no food ( even when there are Manna they complained again for meat and Vegetables)....Aren't we also like that...When we don't feel God or something happen that does not favour you ASK ( complain) why like this and why like that...
But to think again....Does God really Lead his people (that mean us) into some hardship or wilderness for no reason....NO! of course not.God's thoughts, ways and even the way he do things is higher than ours
God is Preparing us for what is at the other side (Exit) of the wilderness and he is waiting for us there. For the children of Israel, it is the promise land.God is still in your life, he is helping you as you face difficulties in the wilderness.
The point is...Don't give up in your spiritual walk with God as God is waiting for us at the end and he wants to reward us through breakthrough and blessings...imagine this you have children and you have promised to reward them if they scored good result for their exams.But imagine if they give up in the middle of revising for the exams as they felt that they couldn't do it and lead to
bad results, wouldn't it pain us too as we are eagerly preparing to fulfill what we promise to our children.....If you know what that feels, that is also a part of what God feels....

So....Don't ever give up in the Wilderness.....

1:Big people are generous!

you know being generous in their givings

but not only that!

they are also generous in giving positive comments and feedbacks.

2Big people are accepting of differences!

guys, having tatoos or super spiked hairstyles is not wrong!

its just another style! so accept it!

as long its not against the social moral that you are living in.

like smoking underage!

so be liberal in your thinking!

3:Big people forgive and forget easily.

hahas isnt that like our Father in heaven?

we also must not bear grudges!

when you forgive, you forget !

4:Big people empower others to be successful

of course, dun be like those chinese martial arts masters!

they alway have a secret move that their disciples aren't suppose to learn

that is not correct! we must impart our skills, knowledge to younger generations/ disciples!

so that they will do greater things!

5:Big people don't try to be big people

Cuz they are confident enough in themselves, they dun need to act it out~

they will show their servanthood to their frens and etc.

like Jesus, he took the lowest job of all,

that is cleaning his disciples feet!

so lets be humble in our ways!

nevertheless, we must support them and still keep them in prayer!

Slumdog Millionaire!

The film opens with a police inspector (Irrfan Khan) in Mumbai, India, interrogating and torturing Jamal Malik (Dev Patel), a former street child from the Dharavi slums. At the opening scene, a title card is presented: "Jamal Malik is one question away from winning 20 Million Rupees. How did he do it? A) He cheated, B) He's lucky, C) He's a genius, D) It is written." At the end of the film, the answer is given. Jamal is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire (Kaun Banega Crorepati) hosted by Prem Kumar (Anil Kapoor). Jamal has made it to the final question, scheduled for the next day, but the police are now accusing him of cheating, because the other possibilities, that he has a vast knowledge, or that he is very lucky, both seem unlikely.
Jamal then explains that, while at least the question about Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was very simple, he knew the answers of most questions by chance, because of things that happened in his life. This is conveyed in a series of flashbacks documenting the particulars of his childhood. This includes scenes of him obtaining the autograph of Amitabh Bachchan, the death of his mother during Hindu-Muslim riots in the slums, and how he and his brother Salim (Madhur Mittal) befriended the orphan girl Latika (Freida Pinto). As Jamal's favourite book from his short period in school was The Three Musketeers, he refers to Salim and himself as Athos and Porthos, and Latika as the third Musketeer.
The children are eventually discovered by Maman (Ankur Vikal) while they live in the trash heaps. Maman is a gangster (a fact they do not actually know at the time they meet him) who "collects" street children so that he can ultimately train them to beg for money. Salim is groomed to become a part of Maman’s operation and is asked to bring Jamal to Maman in order to be blinded (which would improve his income potential as a singing beggar). Salim rebels against Maman to protect his brother, and the three children try to escape, but only Salim and Jamal are successful as Salim purposely lets go of Latika's hand as she tries to board a train they are hopping while trying to escape. Latika is re-captured by Maman's organization and raised as a culturally talented prostitute whose virginity will fetch a high price.
The brothers eke out a living, traveling on top of trains, selling goods, pretending to be tour guides at the Taj Mahal, and pickpocketing. Jamal eventually insists that they return to Mumbai since he wishes to locate Latika. When he finds her working as a dancer in a brothel, the brothers attempt to rescue her, but Maman intrudes, and in the resulting conflict Salim draws a gun and kills Maman. Salim then uses the fact that he killed Maman to obtain a job with Javed (Mahesh Manjrekar), a rival crime lord. Salim claims Latika as his own and when Jamal protests, Salim threatens to kill him and Latika intervenes, accepting her fate with Salim and breaking Jamal's heart.
Years later, Jamal has a position as a "chai-wallah" (a boy or young man who serves tea) at a call centre. When he is asked to cover for a co-worker for a couple of minutes, he searches the database for Salim and Latika. He gets in touch with Salim, who has become a high-ranking lieutenant in Javed’s organization and confronts a regretful Salim on tense terms. Salim invites Jamal to live with him and, after following Salim to Javed's house, he sees Latika living there. He talks his way in as the new dishwasher and tries to convince Latika to leave. She rebuffs his advances, but he promises to be at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station every day at five p.m. for her. She tries to discourage him, but on the first day that Jamal waits there, Latika attempts to rendezvous with him, but is recaptured by Salim and Javed's men. One of the men then slashes her cheek with a knife, scarring her as Salim drives off.
Jamal again loses contact with Latika when Javed moves to another house. In another attempt to find Latika, Jamal tries out for the popular game show because he knows that she will be watching. He makes it to the final question, despite the hostile attitude of the host who feeds Jamal a wrong answer during a break. At the end of the show, Jamal has one question left to win 20 million, or two crore, rupees and is taken into police custody, where he is tortured as the police attempt to learn how Jamal, a simple "slumdog," could know the answers to so many questions. After Jamal tells his whole story, explaining how his life experiences coincidentally enabled him to know the answer to each question, the police inspector calls his explanation "bizarrely plausible" and allows Jamal to return to the show for the final question. At Javed's safehouse, Latika watches the news coverage of Jamal's miraculous run on the show. Salim gives Latika his phone, and the keys to his car, and urges her to run away. When Jamal uses his Phone-A-Friend lifeline to call Salim, Latika answers his phone and they reconnect. She does not know the answer to the final question either, but believing that "it is written," Jamal guesses the correct answer (Aramis) to the question of the one Musketeer whose name they never learned, and wins the grand prize. Simultaneously, Salim is discovered to have helped Latika escape and allows himself to be killed in a bathtub full of money after shooting and killing Javed. Salim's last words are "God is great." Later that night, Jamal and Latika meet at the railway station and they share a kiss. It is then revealed that the correct answer to the opening question is: D) it is written. Along with many others in the train station, they dance.

Morning/Evening Prayer Meetings

All the prayer meetings in the morning and the evening were really good!!! Many people were there to pray before and after work and school! It was really refreshing after I pray and the day seem more fulfilling and fruitful! I went for the evening pm on tuesday at Riverwalk too and it ws so crowded that they open FOUR more rooms to contain the people. Many people came to pray and it was really like a prayer revival happening in church!! Let's not miss this wave of revival but hop on it and move together with the church. ya? I really believe in the power of prayer! U can go here to witness the testimony of how God blesses His people when they pray!

We still have tml. fri and weekend Prayer meetings that we can attend! Don't miss the opportunity of God moving in yr life!!

Why do we "SHOUT" when we are angry?

This is so true!! Do remember this when someone 'step' on your feet someday ...

One day, a professor asked his students 'Why do we SHOUT instead of speak when we are ANGRY?'

All the students thought for a while. One answered 'Because we lost our cool. That's why we SHOUT.'

Asked the professor again, 'But the person is just right next to you, why can't we talk softly but have to SHOUT?'

Everyone gave their opinions but none was accepted by the professor.

Lastly explained by the professor 'When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart. To mask the DISTANCE we felt, we instinctively SHOUT instead of speak so the other party can hear us.'

'But as we SHOUT, we get ANGRIER. And we felt we drift apart further. So we SHOUT even louder...'

'It is the opposite when we are in love. Not only we do not shout, we whisper into each other ears. Why?'

'This is because our hearts are very close, almost never apart. As our love deepen, we reach a state of communication where there is no need for words.'

'We understand each other well enough just by exchanging look,' concluded the professor.

'Therefore, when we are arguing, DO NOT speak words that will make our hearts drift apart. WAIT a few days. When you feel your hearts are no longer far apart, pick up the conversation and continue from there.

Above is my msn nick after last week Thanksgiving cg.. and many ..i mean .. MANY, have asked me why i wanna get 'wider and fat' .. well .. i bet ALL of u will know what these 2 SPECIAL WORDS mean. WIDER is really a word for our cg for this year and i believe all of us can achieve this as a cg and as an individual!! So let's recap!!

W=Worship God
This means many things!!!
- developing deeper relationship with God this year
- spend time with God (Quality QT) –Prayer life
- Bible Reading/Bible Study
- Ministry
- Rise up (CGCs, CGLs)

Im really believing that this year we gonna build a strong relationship with God and we will experience many breakthoughs in our spiritual lives!!

I=Intertwine our Lives Together
- Increase in Fellowship (spend more time with each other)
- Care, love and support each other more (eg. Move house, water baptism, prayer conf, prayer for each other needs)
- Appreciate each other (Honoring)
- Greater Unity
- NOT just on Fri and Sun

YEA! We're not just 'cg members' towards each other.. but we are a family!! And family spend time together!! Believing that we gonna have greater and stronger relationships with each other!

D=Discipleship (Growing Process)
- Be teachable
- Be open
- Willing to change and be mould
- Move on from mistakes
- Don’t backslide!
- Care and love u. Want u to change!

Many dont like this word but this is an important aspect in our lives!!! Personal growth and character development comes from DISCIPLESHIP. People disciple YOU becos they simply LOVE you and want to see a CHANGE in you! (no one wants to age prematurely right?!). So u, as the recipient, be open and have a soft, mouldable heart and attitude towards discipleship. Because ... out of love.. comes discipleship.

E=Evangelism
- passion and active in reaching out
- Even thou we are at EXPO, friends will be willing to travel (eg.Benja)
- Unity and love draws people
- Be supportive when there is outreach
- Evangelism as a lifestyle

Evangelism has a multiplying effect!! When one is saved, many will be saved too! Remember who brought u to church? Somebody brought he/she to church too!! So i'm believing that this year we gonna have many people added into W433! :)

ALRIGHT! WHY W.I.D.E? Because WIDE = W433 in yr hp when u uses predictive text(when it 'remembered' the word).

And to show that we are moving from point A to point B, we want to be W.I.D.E.R! And

R=Retention
- Friends will stay and be integrated.
- More lives will be touch and transform by Jesus
- More people will spread the good news of the gospel!

Let's work together in this area and i can see many of our loves one(families and friends) getting to know God and be planted firmly in the House of God. And as we go WIDER, we will become "W433S" which also = MULTIPLICATION. We'll see many "W433' birthing forth, many leaders rising up too.

I believe 2009 gonna be the GREATEST year yet for ALL OF US!!

Hey beloved w433ians!
First cg of the year during 16 January 2009 was really AWESOME!
Finally after 2 weeks, we have gather together..
I believe all of you really enjoyed yourselves. :) Especially the time when we go around writing encouraging messages at a construction paper behind each others back. It was a memorable time we had together.

I really feel it's very meaningful to start the year. haha.
Thanks for all the encouraging messages that you guys wrote for me anyway. I LOVE IT!! And, i believe all of u will treasure that piece of paper. :))
Oh, I REMEMBER that i did once before in my previous CG too. And that piece of paper is still with me right now. :)) hahaha! So write more cards to me, i will keep very single one of it. (p.s. kidding, but i am really some1 who loves ppl to give me cards. haha)

HAPPY NEW YEARR!!!!

okok .. i know it's abit OUTdated .. but still wanna post about what we did for Chirstmas 2008! so .. let's get started!!

Christmas CG was fun and exciting as we gather at Tings' house on Sat 11AM!! We watched the video from "My Hope Singapore", had our Gift Exchange and loads of games after that at Tings' place! Here's the pics!!

After our Christmas cg is our Christmas Candlelight Service and our OPERATION 'SAVE THE WORLD" Christmas Drama production from our church. All the services were filled with many people too and I wanna thank all the 50 friends that joined us for these services!!! And of course not forgetting all the members who tired their very best to invites the friends! I believe we all had a great time!! So now ... I'll let the pictures do the talking!! (we really have soooo many people on christmas day itself that it seem like Central foodcourt is 'booked' by us! Enjoy the pics!)

Christmas....Jesus Christ?..Santa claus?

Hey guys.....some of the people might be wondering...
Christmas is suppose to be in commemorate on Jesus Birthday right?...
But.....why is everyone (that means your outside friends) have like made Santa the icon for Christmas.....?

i was boring (after playing facebook and pet society) and i sort of came across this...

SANTA was a person called St. Nicholas

“There was a Christian name St. Nicholas, that is where the Saint part comes from. He was so happy because God gave to him a gift, Jesus, who died for our us so we could have eternal life with God. St. Nicholas became so happy with God's love it became a mission for him to tell everyone he could. St. Nicholas was a very rich person but saw that his happiness was not in money and riches but in God's love. St. Nicholas shared his wealth by bringing food and toys to children that were poor."

But the sad thing is....

In the times of St. Nicholas, there were many people that hated Jesus or God and made a point of it by arresting these Christian people and put them in jail. Eventually St. Nicholas was arrested and was put in jail to stop him from talking about Jesus. This did not stop St. Nicholas and he continued to talk about Jesus even in jail. Eventually these men that jailed St. Nicholas had him killed.

Now because of 's ultimate act of wholeheartedly loving God and fervently loving people
that made his name exist in people heart, even in the non-believers....

so...we must be like St. Nicholas....To be the salt and light of the world...

Happening happenings!!

Last week was really a happening week for me, for the cg and for the church!!

First of all! SUN is back home!!! "woooo-hooooo"

Many of you may not know who is she and what has she done, but let me tell you, she's really a great great great woman!! Her humanitarian efforts are widely seen in China, Indonesia and various part of Asia! Her albums and singles top the charts in US Billboard, UK, China, Taiwan and more!! And to catch her live at the airport last Wednesday 6am, you can click here and here to watch and videos and see how excited the fans were!

I was there too!! Even though i was really tired staying through the night to wait for her arrival, it was all worthwhile when I'm able to catch a glimpse of her! OH! NOT A GLIMPSE! Let me tell you, she was just standing right in front of me for MOST of the time!! Man .. the feeling was beyond description! During those moments, i couldn't think of other things but just knowing that I must continue to love her, pray for her and all! Because, she has been working so hard, so hard to really shine and make a difference in the pop culture! So guys, whether you know her alot of just a little, i hope you guys and gals will remember to pray for her and love her and support her! :)) And if u see her around .. do remember to say "HI SUN!!". She will definitely feel love and appreciate by you!

Ok! Next up .. it was the CG PM that we had on Tuesday afternoon at Junbin's house. It was really a good session as we prayed for Christmas, My Hope Singapore, cg, members, and also for the upcoming year 2009! It was really awesome as we experience the move of the Holy Spirit! :))

During worship, the presence of God was really strong as we kept singing the song "My God Reigns". Indeed, God reigns and he moved among us. For me personally, it was the first time that i felt the power of God so intensively that my whole body was shaking!! Those that was present, i believe u experienced a touch from God and you were charged up too! PTL! :)

Next ...on Thursday, we had "My Hope" at Selena's house. It was good as most of the CG was there and we watched the video, it was rather touching and we had a good time together! Let the pics do the talking!!

Home sweet home .. for some of us..

Since it was at Selena's house, it was the first time experience for some of them to take the LRT ride.. and "some", yeah .. the 'somebody' was really exciting about the ride and has endless questions to ask. It's good to ask!! Especially about the windows and doors turning opaque when the train gets near the HDB block .. well .. i say it was a magic that i perform! ;)))

Overall, it was a good time spent together! :)

OKAY.. it's ... ... oh .. 4.30AM now!! I think i should leave the Sat Xmas CG entry for another to blog! Before i go .. remember to invite yr friends for this ...

All I want for Christmas is ...

Hey all! We are coming to the most exciting time of the year and that is CHRISTMAS!!

This season is really a time of giving!! So as a CG, we are having our annual GIFT EXCHANGE! I still remember last year i gotten a very very stylo-mama RED watch from IAN!! (*whee*!)

So this year, we gonna have our X'MAS CG on Friday, (back at) Normanton Park! (I miss the place!) @ 7.45PM! Do bring along yr friends to join us! We gonna have a short CGM and pot-bless together! Of course, not forgetting one of the most important and the highlight -- the PRESENTS for GIFT EXCHANGE!

This year, we are increasing the budget to $7(due to inflation ): ) and above. Meaning u can buy anything that is $7 and above for the person u have picked during the drawing lots on sunday! And to make it more interesting, we are collecting the WISHLIST HERE!!

So .. i need all of u to leave yr wishlist items in the 'COMMENT' (click here) and NOT the tagboard as the content will be OVERWRITE and then... NO ONE will see what u want for this christmas!!
oh oh... i doubt u would want that to happen and receive things that u dont want!

Heyyyyy!!

what a GREAT monday we have! people are resting at home but.......some of the w433ers are so on fire 4 God! the people came together and prayed at my place! supposed to start at 11 AM but some people are just sooooooooooooooo "early"...some even woke up late n the very first word she/he asked, "what time is it now?" and apparently the clock has striked 10.35AM! very good question to invite my screaming...haha! -don't let you know who..

Anyway, the PM was great!:) everyone of us prayed although there were only 6 of us but no matter how small the numbers are, God really moved when we came to a place of agreement!:)

we started off with reading the word of God n followed by sharing of the verses which impacted them most. so glad that almost everyone of us shared our revelation-junbing came LATE...as usual! after the revelational and heart-felt sharing, we moved on to our main objective and that is to pray for our upcoming Asia Conference, Arise&Build and Cell Group and the list goes on...

i remembered before we started praying, i told the rest about what pastor Kong said about praying specifically and in FOURth dimension and so we did it well! wow...

overall, i felt this PM really stirred the people to have greater passion for God and the friends in cell group. So, you out there who missed this PM, don't miss the next one again!!!!! junbing can testify for that!hahahah!:)

oh yeahh, we'll most likely have our next Amazing PM after the Asia Conference! will inform you again on the time and venue! let's get excited for it!:)

last but not least, we had fun after the PM today!-i realised that junbing eats aloooott!

BLING--PREPS2

Hahaa, it was funnnnnn. (: We didn't know how to decorate the suspenders at first. We spent like 2hours decorating 8 suspenders. 2HOURS !! Man, we had glitters all over the tables,chairs,carpet,and even on our body and hair. Especially Eric, all because of LENG TING HUAN. ;D

Fortunately, we're all fast learners,haha. We know how to do it and on the second day, we spent about an hour for 13 suspenders. great improvement lei. half the time of the first day for more suspenders. HAHAAAAAA

Rictus ahh..

He spent 1hour doing his suspenders. We're all done with the rest of the 20 suspenders, and started playing with the glitters already. He still sitting there gluing the glitters for ONE suspender. LOL.

After 2days of hard work,

FINALLY, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !

Hey W433! i hope all of you are doing fine!
do u still remember last Sunday's Service Message!
Entitled: Breaking the Curse of Debts!
dunno about you, but it was really a message that speaks to me
[not just in the area of financial planning]
as pst was speaking i got remind of a certain girl i know
[ask the neighbours on your left and right if u know her too?]
she, like many of you was really addicted to sth
you may addicted to sth other than lending money
you may be addicted to lets say... games? watching shows compulsively? or be addicted to doing sth that is a closet secret that nobody knew about...
[its okay, If you DEALS with it! OVERCOME IT!]
[the addiction is like sth u really look forward to everyday after sch, or when u reach home or when u are finally with your com etc...]

okay, back to that girl i told you about
this girl has an addiction to watching anime
and not just any animes
[but good ones!]
and also dramas
Korean drama, Jap drama, Eng drama...
as long as its a good shows, it might already be in her list
she watch shows between her class breaks
she watch shows before she sleeps
[sometimes she missed her sleep just to finish the shows]
when when she sleeps she is thinking...
"whats gonna happened to the character in the show"
the shows are all that really got through her head
and soon it seems from an innocent hobby of watching shows,became to lustful addiction!
oh the horror!

as you may or may not remember
[i hope u guys has been diligent in taking notes attentive in the service! and remembered this point]
Pst was saying"... how to get out of debt"
well first u gotta be genuinely angry with it
like u had it with being marked in the reds of being in-debt
from what i know this girl got angry with her addictions
and her addictions seems to be having some sorta life
always wanting to pull her back in
just like debt! like it had a spirit!

although she got angry with her addictions
time and time again she got pull back in to continue to watch endlessly
shows after shows
videos after videos
well, it took her really a lot of effort and determination and the help adn support of her family to get out of the loop
and she knows she couldnt get out of it just like that
like the next day dont watch at all
not like that, u know the idom, absence makes the heart grows fonder
so when she tried not watching it the whole day, its so heart for her
it felt as if she when under cold turkey for some drugs!
so she set a target
okay
instead of watching for 2 hours
she would watch 1hr and 45mins
so slowly, surely and steadily
she got out of the loop of watching endless shows
and till today
though the addiction may call out to her
to pull her in
but
she has fought for the inner space
now she have the strength
the inner strength to stop watching the show however nice the show may be
instead she uses her free time to do more productive work
so i believe if this girl [whom shall not be named] can do it
i believe you can do it too!

The most exciting event of SEPTEMBER is coming ! (definitely not referring to yr exam!!)
And that event is ..............

our monthly YOUTHS meetings with several others zones in our church!!!

The name of this initiative is call EDGE ! (everyone say "EDGE!!")

EDGE gonna be the most exciting event that we are going to do to reach out to all yr frens that live in the NORTH SOUTH EAST and WEST of Singapore! Do gear yrself up for EDGE! It will blow yr mind off and it will really be very different as the committee for EDGE is ready to think and stretch and squeeze every bit of their brain juice to come out with events/activities etc that are so creative and fun so that YOU and yr FRENS will come and enjoy it!

Each month we'll have also have different theme and the first themed meeting that we are going to have this Friday, 26th Sep is "SPECTACLES"!

Hey Guys!
Cell group this week is exciting!
not only in the Minilympics we see GROUP 4 and GROUP 2 won the prizes
[lets give them a big hand!]
but all of us share the prizes!
[thats what a family is for! we SHARE!]

the highlight of the night was during our badminton showdown
our Korean Friends came down to play badminton
BUT! sadly the badminton court was taken by W433 to have a Minilympics showdown
FRET NOT! w433 are some of the nicest ppl on earth!
WE SHARE!

and as we share the court and played games with them
we made MORE new friends!

who in W433 is a stressed human being now?!?
[i see your hand, your hand, your hand...]

well, i got pretty stress these few weeks too,
which made me:
1. can't sleep well
2. can't eat well
3. indigestion
4. restless
5. forgetfulness
6. and the list goes on...

roar!!!! need to release stress right? hehe...

yup...
as told by my knowledgeable daddy
if our body is too stressed and tensed up
our immune system would be down
its scientifically proven!
and den we fall sick easily

SO!

the best defense against all these is... PREVENTION!
[turn to your neighbors and say "prevention!"]

so how do we prevent?
first! if you have any of those symptoms that i have
or just starting to feel very stress...

TAKE NOTE!

there is a way to release all these stress
yes! by releasing i mean... *BANKAI!
*bankai is a jap word meaning, to release. those who watched Bleach would know =)

so just how do you release?!? how do we BANKAI!?
here's a very good method!
EXERCISE!
[turn to your neighbors on your left and right and say, "you have got to exercise!"]

why exercise?
because when u exercise, you perspire.
and when that happens, all the stressful toxic in your body gets out in your perspiration
and thus!
you have a healthier body

for the bible tells us that our body is God temple right?
[AMEN!!!]
so we have to take care of it right?
[yea!; that's right!; amen!]
so even now the non-exercising-Trudy is starting to run so that she could exercise
i believe that you guys can start this running habit too and take good care of our body!
especially during this stressful period!

Mistakes, imperfections...

Yesterday, i got a Revelation through an really UNUSUAL

event....
I went Jogging in the middle of the night and i went home barefooted
(long story)

The walk home is painful....but on the way home i saw some
imperfections on the rough ground that are actually soothing to my feet
(thank god there were several of these on my way)....and these began to
set me thinking: Who are responsible for these? who mistakes are these?
(funny questions to ask).

As i began taking the painful walk back home, i was sort of thinking bout' it
and something just came to my mind telling me that sometimes, when
God wants to help you to achieve something or wants to send you a blessing,
he will send through mistakes and imperfections.

For example, i remember a student spotted a teacher mistakes in presentations
and that students was given praise by his teacher. Another example is that
a mistake of wearing my father shoes and it led me to go barefoot and in terms
getting this revelation.

So, God always does not send his help straight to your face but He sometimes
will even send it through troubles in disguise or even through hard times.

So?...What to do?
So grab every chance you get even chances you get through
problems and you will also find out that There will be Blessings in disguise

one more example is that during the recent group study sessions, i found out
a lot of mistakes that i have made and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as
i can get to improve on these topics and i would not make these mistake again in
Exams.*(You all can join us in our study group, just ask or state where or when
is the study sessions....Really Fruitful..haha)

(sorry first time blog on revelations so...., but believing i will begin to blog more
revelations and blog better..haha..)

FISH&CO

Today, we headed down to Changi Airport after service for fellowship. It was indeed a fun&enjoyable time we spend together. This is our PART 4 surprise for DELPHINE in promoting to CGL. At the same time, we really wanna thank KELVIN for treating us to this meal. (ps. kel, when you blessed others,you will be bless. AMEN!) . :)

When entering the fish&co, Kelvin and i was surprised that we actually got a room ourselves to fellowship. However,It was a nice place to fellowship together.

We were all very attracted by the dislay of the "FISH" that was on the wall while waiting for our food to come.

Festival of Praise 2008!

This year FOP was really mind-blowing for me. The opening night on friday was really wow3! Even before Reuben Morgan and his team came forth to lead us into praise and worship, the atmosphere was already hitting the roof! There were so much excitement in the air! All of us were so excited to jump and sing and to lift up our praises to God! Parachute Band was great too! Though their style are kinda different from what we usually experience, they were still very good!

Rev. Mark Connell shared 3 powerful messages on these 3 days as well. (really like the way he deliver the message! Simple yet impactful!)

Day 1 - Building a Strong Spiritual Atmosphere
Day 2 - Growing Old or Growing Up
Day 3 - Living a Piece of Eternity on Earth
(please read the summarised version concluded by Jonathan Hoe from E462)

I especially like the day 1 sermon where pastor Mark shared about the 4 ingredients in building a strong spiritual atmosphere - Peace, Encouragement, Comfort and Fear of the Lord. I really believe that if everyone in our CG is to embrace these 4 ingredients, then everyweek CG gonna be a time where God can move mightily! Our cg meeting may not have the most perfect game/praise/worship/preaching etc but we serve a perfect God! As long as we are willing to put aside our tiredness after a week of school/tuitions/CCAs/ on a friday night, and put our focus on Jesus (making a decision to put away every and any form of distractions), then definitely God will show up and touch our lives individually and corporately, in His own special way!

Let's aim to build a strong spiritual atmosphere in every cg meetings, in every services and in every and any setting that we going k! Because YOU are the one that can pull down the presence of God when u hunger and thrist for Him!

Stepping out

Really do not have any idea of what to blog but i have decided NOT to procrastinate! Cos blog is meant to be updated! Anyway ... Was thinking … Surely there will be things to blog if i take my first step out by clicking the "new post".

And tata! This reminded me that many a time in life we do not know what to do or we hesitate in making the first move due to fear of the unknown, commitments, procrastination and many other reasons. And one example will be prophesying in Cgm. (hmm, sound familiar?) We'll always encourage your to take a step of FAITH to speak up, be it in songs or words. And God is just amazing! Even though at times He may just give you A WORD, (not phrases or FULL sentence), a vision or just a tune, but as long as u take a STEP of FAITH to open your mouth and speak/sing out, man! Tell you, as u do it, more words will just come out from yr mouth and without u knowing, hearts are opened, lives are touched and people are ministered, encouraged and lifted up! Holy Spirit is speaking THROUGH you! He is using you to edify the CG! Do not fear speaking in a quiet setting, because God speak in a still small voice!

And see... Unknowingly, I’ve blogged up this entry too! The power of STEPPING OUT from yr comfort zone to the unknown! God leads and directs! PLT! (:

Holy Laughter @ W433

Hi Guys! Hope you all had a Great week!
here's to fill you in on what had happened in cg, for those who were not here...
[we really miss you! its like a part of our cg was not there!]

cg this week was cool! everyone was just so full of Faith!
[so next time when we said you are F.O.F. you know whats that! haha...]
We really hit it during Praise!
even though i was only playing the guitar 2nd time for cg
[playing the guit for cg its like a dream come true for me]
and we were clapping faster and faster...
though its not the perfect praise,
we kept praising God the best we can!
and then, some of us started laughing
by the time we ended praise...
all of us were deep in laughter
Oh Joys!
it went on and on and on! and we were all laughing in sync!
and i thought... hey! that's not normal giggling...
its Holy Laughter!
how cool can that be?!?
haha!
it really leave a deep impression on me
as it was the first time i experienced Holy Laughter in a cg meeting

and its not all the time we got to be weeping under God's presence
its not all the time we experience the goosebumps, to know God is there
its more than all these!
this week's cg meeting really show us that our God is so cool!
touching us in a different way!

so W433, lets really be excited and come with a heart of expectancy!
[let's NOT have worry warts, sorrow spells nor tired toes...
leave those things at home before coming yea?]
knowing God would touch us in a different way every week!
[as our God is Creative, Cool, and Awesome! Amen? (replies: AMEN!!!)]

RidgesXPLORE Part 3

Alright! Finally back to the last part, but the most interesting part of the whole even, which is the fellowship time and prizing giving time! The teams really went through the "UP"s and "DOWN"s together! A big applause to all the team leaders(Yeekiat, Clarence, Tinghuan and Xuan)! For some, this probably the first time they led a team, and for some, it was a challenge to lead the group! Nonetheless, they all did well! *cheer!!*

So after the whole game, the people were tired and famish! BUT when they saw the BeeHoon, the hotdogs, fishball, tidbits and all... wah .. all the energy was out again! We had a great time of eating ... Then, finally the winner of the event is announced! And the team that won was ... CLARENCE's team! The PATAPON!!
So the winner had won for themselves a big hamper! And because they were really hungry, they immediately open up the hamper and reward themselves with all the goodies inside!

RidgesXPLORE Part 2

During the long walk we had some tasks and game stations at certain points. The first task they gotto do was going to the Look-out Point and take a group. The view was really nice but i think when the groups reached there ... they were already out of breath! Look at Loewe's face!

Then after that, they continued the journey and reach Kelvin's station. This is a station where they have to ACT! So the first person have to act out the thing that Kelvin gave to them and they have to pass it down. In order for the last person to have the chance to give the answer, he/she have to gulp down a cup of water first.

After this station, they were given a task to do! It was to take photos of items/things/people with their names starting from "A" all the way to "Z". All those pictures was extremely FUNNY and CREATIVE! And the group that did the best was TINGHUAN'S team. Pictures will be up soon! But a big big applause to the other 3 teams for being so creative and innovative! Some of those pictures really make me LOL!

Next at Santy's station, Alexandra Arch, this is a place where the team had their leg tied together in pair/3people and they have to walk/run together from the start of Alexandra Arch to the end of the Alexandra Arch, which is about 60m. The fastest team to reach the end in the shortest time will be given the highest point. Let's see the pictures!

Alright, at the last station, it was the TELEMATCH! It was really funny! Cos they have to dress themselves up by the item given to them at the point they were situated and pass it on to the next person on the line. So the last person that come to me with everything on him/her will win. Items such as, SHOWER CAP, towel etc really make them look very "GOOD". But sadly, there wasnt any light at that place so the pictures that we took were really dark. BUT u will see those items(shower cap and towel) appearing at the fellowship time! So .. get a look out at the fellowship/prize giving time ... it was REALLY hilarious!

Before I go off, just wanna post up the lyric of the new worship song that we sang last week. It is really a nice song and i believe it touches many of your hearts too!
